Information we collect

We may collect your email address and display name; home setup answers; maintenance tasks, due dates, completion history, notes, costs, service-provider names, and optional photos or documents you attach; notification preferences and Expo push tokens; support messages; and product-usage or diagnostic data when those settings are enabled.

How we use information

We use information to create and sync accounts, generate starter maintenance plans, store tasks and maintenance history, send reminders you request, provide support, improve reliability, understand product use, prevent abuse, and meet legal or security obligations.

Service providers

Home Hero uses Supabase for authentication, database, storage, and Edge Functions; PostHog for consent-based first-party analytics; Expo services for app delivery and push notifications; OpenRouter or OpenAI-compatible model providers through Supabase Edge Functions for optional task and starter-plan assistance; and YouTube for guide videos. Paid subscriptions and RevenueCat are not enabled in this version.

Analytics, diagnostics, and AI processing

App analytics may include screen views, onboarding progress, guide views, task actions, app version, platform, and reliability events. With your permission, website analytics include anonymous page views, browser and device information, referring pages, network information such as the IP address used to deliver the request, App Store link clicks, and visits from Home Hero QR codes. Website events are marked to disable location enrichment. The website does not use analytics session recordings, form-content capture, advertising profiles, or cross-company tracking. We do not intentionally send passwords, full notes, home addresses, photos, or maintenance-log descriptions in analytics events. When Home Hero generates maintenance suggestions, relevant home setup answers and task context may be sent through a Supabase Edge Function to an OpenRouter or OpenAI-compatible model provider. Do not enter highly sensitive information in free-text fields.

Notifications and external content

Push notifications are optional. If enabled, Home Hero stores an Expo push token, platform, device information when available, and reminder preferences. Guide videos may load YouTube content and are also subject to YouTube or Google privacy practices.

Your controls

You can update your profile, change notification preferences, disable app analytics and diagnostics, request export assistance, and delete your account under Settings, Privacy & Security. Use Analytics preferences in the website footer to allow or decline website analytics at any time. Deletion removes associated Home Hero account and app data from active systems where technically feasible, subject to legal, security, backup, fraud-prevention, and support obligations.

Retention, security, and tracking

We retain account and maintenance data while your account is active or as needed to provide Home Hero. We use authentication, access controls, row-level security, and provider safeguards. Home Hero does not use advertising SDKs, sell user data, or use data to track you across other companies’ apps or websites for advertising or data-broker purposes.
